SHANTI TRANSCRIPTS was founded with a motto of providing technical excellence in the field of Medical Transcription.The company has already started its project on Medical Transcription.

With an installed base of highly trained Medical Transcriptionists and Quality Analysts, we are confident of providing 99% Accuracy, maximum possible lines, and optimum turn time as per the client�s requirements.

We understand the intricacies involved in the documentation process, especially when we are dealing with healthcare records. For this reason, we treat the Medical Records with utmost confidentiality. At the same time, keeping proper backups of our voice files and documents is also implemented using backup tape drives.



THE TRAINING

We have a strong belief that a Transcription Company�s foundation is the quality of Transcription Training its associates acquire. Our MTs are recruited after implementing very strict selection procedures. They pass through various levels of screening tests, which include test in English, general aptitude, and an English audio test to be transcribed.

They are guided, organized, and trained by experienced faculty/professionals who are always on-hand to share their knowledge, expertise, and to enhance and refine the skills of the trainees.

The scheduled duration of the Training Program is six months and even extendable depending on the performance of the candidates. This is followed by another six months of on-the-job training where trainees are exposed to real production atmosphere.

We believe in separating wheat from chaff. We mold our trainees through a rigorous training program, which comprises of an intensive coverage of theoretical as well as practical curricula.

The training schedule includes study of medical terminology, American English, grammar, punctuation, phonetics, lingo, slangs, idioms and phrases, and above all Transcription Training.

AAMT book of Style is strictly adhered to in our training program.

Reference books are available to students for studying which include Language of Medicine, Stedman�s series, Drake and Drake, Mosby�s, PDR, Nurses Drug Index, Dos and Don�ts, etc.

As a part of the Practical Training Curricula, the students are exposed to The SUM Program tapes, Ettinger and Ettinger tapes, Meditech tapes, and ample amount of dummy live tapes from all the specialties.



THE INFRASTRUCTURE

SHANTI TRANSCRIPTS� state-of-the-art facility is situated in New Delhi, the capital of India. We have a spacious and fully air-conditioned office setup with latest computers, softwares, hardware, and equipments required to facilitate the job of Medical Transcription.

We have at our facility, all the references, study material and softwares that are required to upgrade the knowledge base of our MTs and QAs. In addition, we have subscribed to various Medical journals from the USA to keep ourselves abreast of the latest developments in the field of medicine.

All our MTs and QAs are provided transportation facility to ensure their punctuality and, in turn, productivity.

THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS

Our Production Facility consists of a highly powerful HP E-60 Server and an equally powerful Backup Server connected to the Workstations on a Local Area Network along with a Switch Backbone of 100 Mbps having high levels of Data Security features. We work on Windows NT4 Platform and Windows 98 on the workstation end. We have the flexibility of using any Transcription Software as per the client�s requirements.

For downloading we are using softwares such as Cute FTP and BulletProof FTP.

We have the flexibility to use various Voice Files Playing softwares like Playall, WorldPlay, Crescendo, WavePedal, TransAid, etc. which would give the client an option for any kind of Voice File Format. To improve and enhance the productivity standards, we are using highly sophisticated Foot Pedals, which are compatible with all of the above-mentioned softwares.

We are using MSOffice 2000 as our Text Editor with latest Stedman�s Medical spell checker. We also have an option of using WordPerfect (all versions) as text editor. In addition to these, we are also using Quick Look Drug Index, Stedman�s Medical Dictionary 4, Instant Text 3, American Heritage Dictionary, Webster�s English Dictionary, etc.

To provide required backup in case of any power crisis, we have installed 500 VA UPS per system and a standby 5 kVA Generator at our premises to make our working interruption free.
