E-Health Services (IND) Pvt. Ltd is a medical transcription service, the brainchild of a well-knit core group of MT personnel and Bombay-based promoters. E-Health Services (IND) Pvt. Ltd has grown into an organization dedicated to providing our clients with quality documenting of clinical information, utilising the latest technology for rapid data transfer and retrieval.

We accommodate ourselves with a 3000 sq. ft premises in India�s IT hub, Bangalore, where an abundance of HR supply is available. Connectivity is a 512 kbps DSL ethernet router connect and upgradeable with a 128 kbps ISDN back-up. Reference books range from anatomy to pharmacology. A 5 kva UPS covers for initial backup of power supply, while the 25 kva generator with an acoustic enclosure covers for longer power cuts, if any. Our sophisticated workflow management proprietary software effectively distributes and accounts for job distribution and output. We work on the Windows NT operating system and transcribe on MS Word and Corel WordPerfect. Stedman�s Medical Dictionary, Quick Look Drug Index, etc., are for online medical references.

Each workstation is equipped with Intel Celeron 1.7 GHz, 40 GB hard disk, 128 MB RAM, 15� colour monitors with Yamaha 128-bit sound cards. We use the accelerator type foot pedal and multiple-format voice players capable of altering volume, speed, noise, reverb, tone levels, etc. All our workstations are networked to a high-end login-server and our back-up servers host a database of transcribed and voice files. Network and Systems Engineers constantly monitor the architecture.

A trained, qualified and experienced team of about 40 MTs and 12 proofreaders transcribe 15000 lines with an accuracy of 99% consistently as a single shift operation. We have a spare capacity of another 5000 lines or 8 hours of dictation per day.

We cater to specialties in Cardiology, Family Practice, GI/GU, General Surgery, Gynecology, Hematology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pathology, Pediatrics, Physical Therapy, Psychiatry, Urology, and Vascular Surgery.

The communications between a doctor and patient and the information generated during the course of the patient�s illness are generally according to the protection of confidentiality. Thus, the information in the medical record is dealt in a confidential manner. Data security is assured, as E-Health Services (IND) Pvt. Ltd�s system meets both HCFA�s Triple DES encryption requirements and the recently established HIPAA standards (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). All technologies are constantly reviewed and upgraded to reduce the potential for breaches.
